Shoubhik Doss

Shoubhik Doss has a diverse work experience in the field of power systems development, engineering, and management. Shoubhik currently holds the position of Director, PV/ESS/SCADA Engineering at Intersect Power starting in February 2023 and previously served as the Manager, Energy Storage Systems at the same company from August 2021 to February 2023.

Prior to their role at Intersect Power, Shoubhik worked as the Chief System Design Specialist at TMEIC from August 2020 to August 2021. During their time at First Solar from 2014 to 2020, they held various engineering positions, including Engineer - IV, Power Systems Development, Engineer - III, Power Systems Development, and Electrical Engineer - II, Power Conversion. Shoubhik was involved in projects related to utility-scale AC or DC coupled battery energy storage, PV energy models, balance of system solutions, DC collection system, field data analysis, techno-economic valuation, and energy modeling.

Before their tenure at First Solar, Shoubhik worked as the Manager, Sustaining Engineering at Petra Systems from July 2010 to July 2014, where they focused on transitioning products from prototype to production and implementing automated engineering processes. Shoubhik also worked as a Lead Technical Engineer at Silicon Power Corporation from March 2008 to June 2010, where they conducted feasibility studies and successful module development.

Shoubhik's early work experience includes research and teaching assistant positions at North Carolina State University from January 2006 to May 2008, where they worked on power converter designs and served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate power systems courses. Shoubhik also gained practical experience as an Engineering Intern at Eaton Corporation in 2007, Siemens AG in 2006, and Aplab Ltd in 2004, where they were involved in hardware prototyping, testing, and development.

Shoubhik then pursued a B.E. degree in Electronics Engineering from Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2005. Following that, Shoubhik obtained an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, graduating in 2008.
