Lead IT Support Engineer at Intersection

Dan Cohen has a diverse background in the IT industry, starting with their role as a Technician at Nyack Computer Corporation in 2012. Dan gained experience in providing customer service and technical proficiency in assisting small-to-medium businesses and individual customers. In 2013, they joined Staples as a Lead Technician, where they further expanded their skills and offered technical expertise alongside device sales. In 2015, they joined Titan as a Service Desk Technician, exposing him to Microsoft Exchange, WDS, and Active Directory. Dan then transitioned to Intersection Co., initially working as an IT Support Engineer before being promoted to Senior IT Support Engineer. In this role, they became more involved in operational efforts, such as opening regional offices and reducing operational expenses. Dan also worked on various projects, including establishing a new standard of support in a work-from-anywhere environment and automating IT onboarding and offboarding processes. Throughout their career, Dan has gained expertise in areas such as productivity suites, SSO, ticketing software, VoIP phone systems, MDM, videoconferencing/collaboration tools, cloud storage, endpoint security, and SaaS. Dan'sresponsibilities at Intersection and Sidewalk Labs included managing PCs and Macs, providing executive IT support, performing administration tasks within multiple SSO organizations and G Suite domains, opening and resolving support tickets, creating end-user facing help articles, and auditing internal SaaS app use. Dan also worked on projects involving researching and testing new devices, participating in information security audits, and configuring and deploying SaaSOps solutions.

Dan Cohen received their education in a chronological order. Dan first attended Rockland Community College from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Computer Support Services. Dan then pursued further education at Pace University from 2012 to 2014, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology with a focus on Cyber Security.

In addition to their formal education, Dan Cohen has also obtained several certifications. In November 2017, they became a Jamf Certified Technician. In May 2017, they earned the Google Suite Certified Administrator certification. In February 2017, they obtained the CompTIA A+ 900-series certification. More recently, in July 2021, they became a BetterCloud Certified Administrator. Dan'smost recent certifications include Jamf Certified Admin - Jamf 300 from July 2023 and Okta Certified Professional obtained in April 2023.
