David Hughes

David Hughes has a diverse range of work experience. David started their career at SGI, where they held various roles including Manager Advanced Visualisation and EMEA Marketing Manager Visual Systems. During their time at SGI, they developed the Media Fusion concept and drove the visualisation business in Europe. David also played a key role in the creation and development of the Reality Centre.

After leaving SGI, David Hughes worked at The Interactive Institute as an Emerging Technology Project Manager, where they developed pioneering projects and solutions for interactive exhibits in museums and science centers. David then moved on to STFC Daresbury Laboratories as Lead - Visual Computing, where they developed and implemented visual computing strategies.

David Hughes also has experience as a Managing Director at Decision Concepts Ltd, where they specialized in technology consultancy. David worked with both large and small organizations to combine new ideas with emerging technologies, particularly in the areas of visualization and collaboration. In addition, they served as an Honorary Professor at The University of Glasgow.

Most recently, David Hughes has been with Interspectral AB, where they have been involved in solutions and business development. Overall, their work experience highlights their expertise in visual computing, emerging technologies, and developing disruptive solutions.
