John Hipp

John Hipp has a diverse work experience in the education sector, starting with an internship at Charter School Policy Institute in 2006. John then worked as a Teacher at Breakthrough Collaborative in 2007. In 2008, they became a Fellow at TNTP Teaching Fellows and a Teacher at De Soto ISD. John later joined KIPP Colorado Schools as a Teacher in 2010 before transitioning to KIPP Texas Public Schools in 2012, where they held multiple roles including Teacher, Assistant Principal, Fisher Fellow, and Principal. In 2021, they moved to Interstaff, Inc. as the Director of Client Services, and in 2023, they transitioned to the role of Director of People Operations.

John Hipp attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Corporate Communication & Business Foundations. John then pursued further education at the University of Houston from 2015 to 2016, obtaining a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration and Supervision. In addition to their degrees, John Hipp also holds multiple certifications, including SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) obtained in May 2023, School Principal certification from the Texas Education Agency (obtained in May 2016), Mathematics Teacher certification from the Texas Education Agency (obtained in June 2015), and Special Education Teacher certification from the Texas Education Agency (obtained in June 2015).
