Iain MacKenzie

Iain Mackenzie is a Clinical Safety Specialist at InterSystems since February 2014, focusing on providing clinical expertise for the implementation of the EPR solution, TrakCare, while also contributing to awareness of the UK's IT strategy and NHS requirements. Previously, Iain served as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Birmingham from December 2008 to December 2014, engaging in research on human factors in healthcare safety and quality. Additionally, Iain was a Consultant at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust from September 2008 to December 2014, focusing on preoperative anaesthetic assessments and developing the vascular access service. Earlier roles include serving as a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at Addenbrooke's Hospital and as a Senior Registrar at Northampton General Hospital. Iain holds a BM BCh in Medicine from the University of Oxford and a BSc (Hons) in Medicine from the University of St Andrews.
