Dennis Ashford

Dennis Ashford, PhD, is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in both academic and industrial settings. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where Ashford earned a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry, professional experience includes serving as a Department of Energy Office of Science Graduate Fellow and a research assistant at Northern Kentucky University. Subsequent roles include Senior Research Chemist and Advanced Research Chemist at Eastman Chemical Company, where Ashford focused on developing and analyzing thin films for various applications. At Tusculum University, Ashford progressed from Assistant Professor of Chemistry to Associate Professor and Principal Investigator, conducting research on photochemotherapeutics. As of June 2025, serves as a Manager and Staff Scientist at Intertek, and also holds the position of Senior Consultant at Ashford Analytics. Additionally, co-founded and served as CEO and CTO of FytFeed, a platform aimed at motivating users to achieve their activity goals.
