Dave Smith has extensive experience in the textile industry, currently serving as Technical Director at Intertek since January 2002. In this role, Dave oversees compliance for children's safety products and the performance of sports and outdoor clothing in collaboration with retailers and suppliers. Previous positions at Intertek include Technical Support Manager for Global Softlines, Technical Manager, Testing Lab/Technical Coordinator, Training Coordinator, and Customer Services Team Leader, showcasing a robust background in technical management, training, and customer service. Prior to Intertek, Dave worked as a Preparation Technician at Fastech, focusing on the preparation of test specimens for a variety of textile tests. Dave holds education from the Huddersfield Textile Centre of Excellence, completed in 2009.
