Laura Atherton

Laura Atherton is the Group General Counsel and Head of Risk and Compliance at Intertek, a position held since March 2023. Previously, Laura held multiple roles at GSK from June 2016 to March 2023, including General Counsel for the Global Health Unit and various compliance and legal positions. Prior experience includes serving as Special Counsel at K&L Gates, LLP, where Laura specialized in corporate crime and compliance, and as an Associate at Kennedys. Laura holds a Law MA from the University of Cambridge, obtained between 1997 and 2000, and completed earlier education at Aylesbury High School and Royal Latin.
