Michael Beaton is an accomplished professional with over 27 years of experience in testing, inspection, and product evaluation. Currently serving as the Director of Special Projects at Intertek since February 2013, Michael supports certification projects for Building and Construction. Previously, as Senior Director of Certification Services at Intertek, the focus was on product certification, code evaluation, and developing innovative approaches to certification. Michael's career also includes roles as Director of Product Evaluations at ICC Evaluation Service from 1994 to 2012 and Senior Vice President at SGS United States Testing Company from 1987 to 1994. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Certificate in Engineering Management from UC Irvine.
