Vijay Varma is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the certification of equipment used in explosive atmospheres. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Intertek Testing & Certification Ltd since August 1987, Vijay Varma holds the role of Certification Officer for ATEX and IECEx related equipment and serves as a Technical Assessor for the IECEx ExTL scheme. Prior to this, Vijay Varma worked as a Senior Engineer at ERA from 1982 to 1987, collaborating closely with BASEEFA on similar equipment certifications. Vijay Varma began the career as a Project Engineer with Black & Decker from January 1972 to July 1982. Vijay Varma earned a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College between 1963 and 1967 and completed secondary education at Government Indian Secondary School from 1956 to 1960.
