Gen Isayama is a technology investor, entrepreneur, and board leader. They are the co-founder and CEO of World Innovation Lab (WiL), a platform to educate entrepreneurship and facilitate open-innovation between startups and large corporations in Japan, with activities including venture investment, incubation, and corporate training. They currently serve as chairman of the board at Intertrust Technologies Corporation and as a board member at Blue Lab, SORACOM, and UPSIDER, Inc., among others. They have previously held board observer or board member roles at 21, Inc., ADARA, Mercari, JasperSoft, renren.com, Sling Media, UStream.tv, RockYou, and other companies. They studied law at The University of Tokyo (presently pursuing) and earned an MBA from Stanford Business School (2001–2003).
