Shayne Moore

Author, Ending Human Trafficking: A Handbook of Strategies for the Church Today at InterVarsity Press

Shayne Moore has a diverse work experience spanning from 2005 to the present. Shayne began their career in 2005 as a Lecturer and Public Speaker in freelance capacities. In 2009, Shayne founded the Redbud Writers Guild, a group of Christian women authors, writers, and speakers focused on expanding the feminine voice in communities, faith, and culture. This group has grown to include over 100 members, attracting leading voices of women from all over the United States. Shayne served as the President of the Redbud Writers Guild until 2017.

In 2010, Shayne joined the ONE Campaign as a member of the ONE Moms Advisory Council, a role they held until 2012. During this time, they also authored a book titled "Global Soccer Mom: Changing the World Is Easier Than You Think," published by Zondervan Publishers in 2010.

From 2012 to the present, Shayne has been an author for InterVarsity Press, writing books such as "Ending Human Trafficking: A Handbook of Strategies for the Church Today" and "Refuse to Do Nothing: Finding Your Power to Abolish Modern Day Slavery." Shayne also worked as the Editor in Chief of The Redbud Post, a publication affiliated with the Redbud Writers Guild, from 2012 to 2017.

In 2017, Shayne took on the role of Communications Officer at the City of Wheaton and became a Contributing Editor of Everbloom, a book published by Paraclete Press. In 2019, they joined Wheaton College as a Fellow, Anti Human Trafficking. Shayne also served as the Director of Operations at Wheaton College's Humanitarian Disaster Institute from 2020 to 2021.

Most recently, in 2022, Shayne became an author for Tyndale House Publishers, releasing a book titled "Women @ Halftime: A Guide to Finding Joy and Peace for Your Next Season." Throughout their career, Shayne has used their expertise and influence to advocate for social causes, particularly in the areas of human trafficking and empowerment of women.

Shayne Moore obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Secondary Education from Wheaton College, where they attended from 1988 to 1992. They later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Theology from the same institution, completing their studies from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their degrees, Shayne Moore also holds a Professional Certificate in Screenwriting from the UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television, and a Secondary Education Teaching Certificate from the State of Illinois. Specific dates of obtaining the additional certifications were not provided.
