Jason Thomas

Jason Thomas leads InterVarsity’s ministry to students and faculty by overseeing their Field Leadership Team. Born into a South Asian Christian family, Jason grew up in the Detroit Metro Area and went to Western Michigan University, where he first encountered InterVarsity.

Jason and his wife, Andrea, served together as InterVarsity Area Directors in West Michigan. Later as Regional Directors in the Red River Region, they saw God double InterVarsity’s ministry there. Jason also served for 10 years as the National South Asian American Coordinator, launching national South Asian InterVarsity (SAIV) and producing three SAIV Leadership Institutes.

Jason and Andrea—who serves as InterVarsity’s Director of Senior Leadership Development and is a breast cancer survivor—have three children. Jason has a B.B.A. and an M.A. in global leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary.
