Senior Systems Engineer at InterVision Systems

Mike Brown has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Mike started their career as an Avionics Technician in the Missouri Army National Guard in 2001 and worked there until 2011. Mike then joined ITT Systems as a Lead Systems Administrator, where they managed network services for over 400 users. Mike also worked as a Virtualization Implementation Engineer at Eyak Technologies and as a Senior Systems Engineer at Texas Capital Bank.

In 2012, Mike co-led the Dallas/Fort Worth VMUG and also worked as a Senior Data Center Consulting Engineer at Netera Networks. Mike had the opportunity to design and implement VMware, NetApp, and Cisco data center solutions for small and medium-sized environments.

Mike's expertise in virtualization and data center solutions led him to become an author for Packt, where they wrote a book on VMware vSphere 6.7 Data Center Design.

Mike later worked as a Senior Data Center Engineer at ZeroDay Technology Solutions before joining InterVision Systems as a Senior Systems Engineer.

In addition to their professional experience, Mike also maintained a personal blog called VirtuallyMikeBrown.com, where they shared their experiences and knowledge on topics such as VMware server virtualization, Dell and Cisco UCS servers, and NetApp storage.

Mike Brown completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Regis University in the year 2011. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, which they completed in 2009. In 2002, Mike also received a qualification in Basic Electronics, Army Aviation Electronics, and Aircraft Suvivability Equipment from the United States Army Ordnance Missile and Munitions Center and School. In addition to their formal education, Mike Brown has earned several certifications from various institutions, including Veeam Software, Datadobi, VMware, Rubrik, Inc., Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware, and Cisco Meraki. These certifications cover a range of specialized areas such as virtualization, cloud computing, data center technologies, and network support.
