Dr. Axel Schweitzer

Dr. Axel Schweitzer currently serves as Chairman of Interzero since June 2022, overseeing three distinct entities within the organization. As Chairman and Eigentümer/Gesellschafter of ALBA Group Asia since 2011, Dr. Schweitzer facilitates the exchange of recycling expertise across regions, promoting a vision of a world without waste through strategic partnerships. Previously, Dr. Schweitzer held multiple leadership roles at ALBA from 1995 to 2022, including Chairman and board member positions at ALBA SE from 2005 to 2018. Dr. Schweitzer earned a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin between 1989 and 1995.
