Robert van der Put

Director Business Development at Intravacc

Robert van der Put has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Robert began their career as an Intern at Erasmus MC, where they developed a fluorescence assay to detect Mycoplasma pneumoniae and detected virus infections in patient materials. Robert then worked as an Assistant Manager at Quick and McDonalds before joining Campina as a Quality Control Bacteriology specialist.

In 2002, Robert joined the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment as a Senior Research Technician. During their tenure there, they played a key role in the production and development of monoclonal antibodies, conducted quality control tests for vaccine release, and facilitated the technology transfer of a Hib conjugate vaccine production process to partners in India, Indonesia, South-Korea, and China.

Robert also worked as a Short Term Consultant for the World Health Organization in 2009 and 2012. Robert provided their expertise on various projects during these short-term roles.

In 2021, Robert joined Universiteit Utrecht as a Promovendus, and in the same year, they also assumed the role of Business Development Associate at Intravacc. Robert recently transitioned to the position of Business Development Director at Intravacc, where they are responsible for the Conjugate Vaccine Technology group within the Bacterial Vaccine Development group. Their work focuses on developing and characterizing conjugation processes for scaled-up production under GMP.

Throughout their career, Robert has demonstrated a strong background in vaccine development, process optimization, and technology transfer.

From 2021 to 2023, Robert van der Put attended Utrecht University as a Promovendus, studying Pharmaceutical Science.

From 2009 to 2013, they pursued a Master's degree in Biopharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Innovation at Universiteit Utrecht.

Between 2003 and 2009, Robert van der Put studied Life Sciences at Hogeschool Utrecht, earning a B. As degree.

From 1992 to 1997, they attended baronie college medische laboratorium techniek, focusing on medische microbiologie. The exact degree earned during this period is unknown.
