Doug Brough

Doug Brough has a long and impressive work experience in the field of research and scientific leadership. Doug started their career at GenVec in 1993 as a Research Scientist and gradually rose through the ranks to become the Chief Scientific Officer. Doug held various leadership positions at GenVec, including Senior Vice President, Research, Vice President, Research, and Executive Director. In 2017, they joined Intrexon Corporation as Vice President of Research. Currently, Doug Brough is working at Precigen as the Senior Vice President and Head of Research.

Doug Brough holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Rutgers University. Additionally, they completed their Master of Science (MS) in Microbiology and Biochemistry at Idaho State University. Doug began their educational journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Microbiology, with a focus on General Microbiology, from Purdue University.
