David Back

David Back is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and private equity investor, currently serving as Managing Partner at Icarus Ventures since 2019, where they focus on trusted investment opportunities. They co-founded Zoomcar, India’s first Western-style car rental company, which scaled significantly under their leadership. David has held prestigious roles including Summer Associate at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company, and Teaching Fellow at Harvard University. They are also a co-owner and chairman of Tattered Cover Book Store, a beloved independent bookstore, and actively engage as a public speaker on topics of entrepreneurship and globalization. David holds a JD from Harvard Law School and an MBA from Cambridge University.
