Irme Esken

Irme Esken is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in human resources and compensation management, currently serving as the Group Director of Total Rewards at Intrum since October 2024. In this role, Irme leads the development and implementation of group-wide compensation strategies and oversees the remuneration processes for senior executives. Prior to this, Irme held various positions at Swedbank from August 2010 to October 2024, including Variable Remuneration Area Manager, where responsibilities included managing variable pay programs for approximately 17,000 employees across the Nordic and Baltic regions. Irme's career in HR began at Swedbank Latvija and includes significant legal expertise as an employment lawyer. Irme holds a Master of Laws in Taxation and Employment Law from the University of Tartu and an MBA from Tallinn University of Technology.
