Abiola Akapo has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. They started their career as an IT Auditor at ON Semiconductor in 2004, and then moved to PriceWaterHouseCoopers as an Experience Associate from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, they joined Avnet as a Senior IT Auditor, where they implemented cost-saving measures and created an internal IT audit framework.
From 2010 to 2017, Abiola worked at Western Union in various roles, including Vice President of Global Operations. They were responsible for implementing Salesforce.com platform, improving agent onboarding processes, and reducing application lead times.
In 2017, Abiola joined Amazon as a Senior Manager in Operations Program Management. They then became the Site Leader for Seller, Vendor, and Brand Support in 2018 and later transitioned to the role of VCC Operations Leader, managing operations in the Americas and Europe.
Most recently, Abiola joined Intuit in 2020 as the Director of Planning, Risk, and Operations. They then moved on to become the Director of Trust & Safety and Office of the President before being promoted to Vice President of Customer Success Operations in August 2022.
Abiola Akapo holds an MBA in Information Technology from Western International University, which was obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, Akapo studied Microbiology at Olabisi Onabanjo University from 1994 to 2000. In addition to these academic qualifications, Akapo has obtained certifications such as Digital Transformation in Operations from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 2022, Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA in 2008, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)².
