Morgan Payne

Morgan Payne has extensive work experience in financial analysis and accounting. They started their career as a Deal Confirmations Officer at Allied Irish Banks in 2004. They then worked as a Financial Officer at Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation from 2005 to 2007, where they managed the accounts payable function and assisted with payroll. In 2007, they held the role of Business Analyst at VisionQuest Inc., where they were responsible for in-house accounting and developed financial statements for external clients. From 2007 to 2009, Morgan worked as a Junior Consultant at Cogsdale Corporation, analyzing client business rules and participating in software implementations.

In 2009, Morgan joined Western Economic Diversification Canada as a Financial Analyst and later became a Senior Financial Analyst (Acting). In these roles, they analyzed business rules and financial policies, prepared testing plans, conducted testing and implementation of new releases, and oversaw monthly forecasts.

Since 2014, Morgan has been working at Intuit. They started as a Senior Accountant and worked their way up to the role of Principal Financial Analyst. They have experience in revenue accounting, executing monthly close processes for multiple entities, and ensuring compliance with policies and local GAAP. Morgan has also had leadership roles as a Lead Accountant and Lead Financial Analyst, where they managed month end close processes and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams on go-to-market opportunities.

Morgan Payne completed the CMA Strategic Leadership Program in Accounting and Business/Management from the Certified Management Accountants of Alberta in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration (General) from the University of Prince Edward Island, which they attended from 1999 to 2006. Additionally, in 2004 to 2005, Morgan Payne pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in International Management (Finance) from OMNES Education. In 2008, they obtained the certification of Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Applications for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 from Microsoft.
