Smit Shah

Smit Shah has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Smit is currently working at Intuit as a Principal Engineer. Prior to Intuit, they held the same position at Cisco, where they led the Cisco Hyperflex core platform team and played a crucial role in integrating the container storage platform with Hyperflex. Smit Shah also worked at Springpath, which was later acquired by Cisco, as a Founding Engineer. In this role, they were involved in designing and implementing key components of the Hyperflex distributed file system. Before their time at Cisco, Smit Shah worked at VMware as a Senior MTS, where they contributed to the Virtual IO devices team and the development of the vSAN distributed storage system. Smit also worked on improving virtual disk and snapshot functionalities. Prior to that, Smit Shah gained experience as a Research Assistant at the State University of New York and as a Software Developer at Calsoft Pvt Ltd.

Smit Shah has an educational background in computer science and information technology. In 2003, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2003, they obtained a Diploma in Information Technology from Dr. D Y Patil Polytechnic in New Mumbai. In 2009, they pursued further studies and earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
