John Basile

John Basile is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in product development and design engineering. Currently serving as a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Intuitive since August 2016, John specializes in developing and validating design updates for endoscope product lines through comprehensive problem-solving and implementation processes. Prior experience includes a Senior Engineer role at Moog-CSA Engineering, where John focused on mechanical hardware design for space flight mechanisms, overseeing all phases from conceptual design to flight integration. Additionally, John worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Guzik Test and Measurement, contributing to the design of hard drive testing devices. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San José State University.
