Kai C. is a Machine Learning Scientist at Intuitive Surgical, where they focus on applying advanced machine learning techniques to surgical data. Previously, they served as a Machine Learning Intern at Intuitive, where they developed innovative training pipelines for model improvement. Kai earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, following a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Rice University, where they graduated cum laude. Their research includes exploring the intersection of linguistics, computational neural science, and psychology through the study of songbirds.
