Laurel Nelson

Laurel Nelson is a Supplier Engineer at Intuitive since February 2021, with previous experience as a NPI Ops Engineering Intern at the same company during two separate terms in 2020 and 2019. During the internships, Laurel managed part qualifications for catheter components, oversaw manufacturing line duplication projects, and addressed discrepancies related to contaminated raw materials. Earlier roles include a Regulatory Affairs Intern at Intuitive, where three regulatory assessments were created, and an Assistant Director of STEM Camps at the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo, responsible for building remote underwater vehicles. Laurel served as a State Ambassador for the California 4-H Foundation and contributed to the design and maintenance of museum exhibits as an Exhibits Design and Engineering Intern. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a BS in Bioengineering, Laurel possesses a solid foundation in biomedical engineering and practical experience in various engineering and regulatory roles within the medical device field.
