Ying Xu

Ying Xu has a strong background in data science and research. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Quantitative intern at Google, where they developed modeling approaches for predicting video behavior on YouTube. In 2012, they joined The Climate Corporation as a Quantitative Researcher, conducting research in various business domains and making substantial contributions to product releases. They also managed research assistants and worked on geospatial research. From 2014 to 2017, Ying Xu served as a Staff Quantitative Researcher and later as a Staff Quantitative Researcher / Monsanto Associate Fellow at The Climate Corporation, leading the development of research programs and conducting stats/ML research on topics such as nitrogen estimation and soil properties interpolation. In 2017, they joined Metromile as a Staff Data Scientist before moving to Indigo in 2018, where they worked as a Lead Data Scientist, leading the crop yield forecast program. Ying Xu then joined EQRx in 2022 as a Principal Data Scientist, where they led machine learning work and causal analyses. Finally, in 2023, they joined Invaio as a Principal data scientist.

Ying Xu has a Ph.D in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. in Mathematical Science from Peking University.
