Jim Shield

Jim Shield is responsible for the origination, off-take, power marketing strategy, asset management and operations of Invenergy’s wind, solar, and thermal projects worldwide. With more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, he has developed more than 20,000 megawatts of power projects. Prior to joining Invenergy, Shield held various positions with Calpine Corporation, including Senior Vice President-East Region. Earlier, he was a key contributor in building SkyGen Energy from a start-up company, and a project manager at Indeck Energy Services. Shield has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from DePaul University.
