Dave Stenson

Dave Stenson has over 40 years of experience in the automotive industry. Dave began their career in 1981 as a Chief Technical Officer at HUMMER, and later held various roles in product development, planning, and engineering at General Motors. In 2010, they founded New Motor Advisors, LLC, an advisory service to companies in the automotive industry. That same year, they also became the Chief of Operations for the Transportation Division at Raser Technologies. In 2011, they founded Inventev, a seed-stage venture exploring electrification of job-site medium duty work trucks. In 2021, they became an Industry Advisor at NanoGraf Corporation and a Product and Business Consultant at Optimal-EV, a technology leader in electrified low-floor shuttle buses and electrified cutaway commercial chassis. Dave Stenson has been awarded a $1 million FTA Bus Exportable Power System (BEPS) Standards Development grant and a 2016 ARPA-E Department of Energy grant award.

Dave Stenson attended Harvard Business School from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained an MBA. Prior to this, they attended General Motors Institute from 1981 to 1986, where they obtained a BSME with a specialty in Mech Engineering/EE.
