Anup Datta

Director, Bacterial Vaccines at Inventprise

Anup Datta has over fifteen years of experience in the vaccine industry, with a focus on bacterial vaccines. Anup is currently the Director of Bacterial Vaccines at Inventprise.

Datta began their career in 2000 as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Georgia. In 2004, they became the technical director of the GlycoAnalytics Core at the University of California, San Diego. From 2008 to 2011, they were the additional director of R&D vaccines at Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd. In 2011, Datta joined Hilleman Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. as the research and development team lead for new vaccines. The following year, they were promoted to Associate Vice President R&D Vaccines at Biological E. Limited.

In 2013, Datta joined Sanofi as a principal scientist in the ARD-Vaccines department. Anup held this position until 2014 when they left to join Inventprise as the Director of Bacterial Vaccines.

Anup Datta has a PhD in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. Their research focuses on pathogenic bacterial polysaccharide based vaccines. Anup also has a Masters in Organic Chemistry from The University of Burdwan.

Anup Datta reports to Subhash Kapre, Founder & CEO. Florence Seal - Head of Immunology, Fataneh Karandish - Scientist, Bacterial Vaccine Research report to Anup Datta. They work with Ramesh Shanbhag - Director, Facility & Engineering, Mark Silverberg - Director, Quality, and David Goesling - Chief Finance Officer.
