Collin Corey has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Collin is currently the Head of Regulatory Licensing at Inversion Space since February 2023. Prior to that, they were the Co-Founder and Inventor at ABC Squared Labs Inc since September 2014. From January 2018 to February 2023, Collin worked at Virgin Orbit, first as the Director of Mission Assurance, Safety, and Launch Licensing, and then as a Senior Systems Engineer. Collin'sresponsibilities included obtaining FAA launch licenses, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating and submitting launch licenses. Before joining Virgin Orbit, Collin worked at The Aerospace Corporation as a Project/Lead Mechanical Engineer, managing projects for suborbital rockets and delivering instruments on time and within budget. Collin also presented to NASA for critical design and mission readiness reviews. At Microcosm, Inc., Collin served as a Senior Structural Engineer and Program Manager/Project Engineer, leading programs for NASA's composite cryogenic tank and the design of all-composite cryogenic tanks for a suborbital sounding rocket. Lastly, Collin worked at Honeywell Aerospace as a Performance Analysis Engineer, specializing in thermal analysis of environmental control systems for aircraft and tanks. Collin was responsible for model creation, lab analysis, and data reduction for various projects.

Collin Corey pursued their education in the field of engineering. Between 1998 and 2002, they attended California State University, Long Beach, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering. Subsequently, from 2000 to 2001, they also studied Aerospace Engineering at Kingston University. Collin continued their education at the University of Southern California from 2009 to 2011, where they earned a Masters Degree in Astronautical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Collin Corey obtained the certification of Solidworks Enterprise EPDM Professional from Go Engineer in June 2014. Furthermore, they completed a Design for Six Sigma certification in 2003, but information on the institution is unavailable.
