Chris Heider

Chris Heider has extensive work experience in the field of natural resource consulting and ecological research. Chris started their career in 1994 as an Ecologist at Heider Consulting, where they worked until 2006. During this time, they gained expertise in forestry and water management. Chris then joined Watershed Professionals Network (WPN) in 2006 as an Ecosystem Ecologist. At WPN, Chris served as the international project leader for capacity-building workshops and trainings related to forestry, water management, and climate change adaptation. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Invert Inc. as the Head of Blue Carbon.

Chris Heider obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Chemistry from Oregon State University between 1989 and 1994. Chris further pursued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science degree in Ecosystem Ecology, although the specific start and end years for this degree are not provided.
