Brian Smith

Brian Smith is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in global trading systems and client connectivity. Currently serving as Head of Global Trading Technology at Invesco Ltd. since May 2018, Smith is responsible for guiding the technical direction of the global trading function in investment services, collaborating closely with business partners to enhance trading capabilities. Prior to this role, Smith held various positions at Goldman Sachs from 1999 to 2017, including Global Head of Client Connectivity & FIX Client Onboarding, where management of a team of 35 was essential in defining and prioritizing client connectivity enhancements. Smith's earlier contributions as an Electronic Trading Business Strategist and Software Developer focused on developing automated solutions and high-quality software for low latency trading environments. An alum of SUNY Geneseo, Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1999.
