Sir Nigel Sheinwald is a former British diplomat with a distinguished career in international business and policy. They served as British Ambassador to the United States from 2007 to 2012 and to the European Union from 2000 to 2003, along with being the Foreign Policy and Defence Adviser to the Prime Minister from 2003 to 2007. Since 2012, they have held various roles, including Non Executive Director at Invesco Ltd and Oxford Instruments plc, where they also chair the Sustainability Committee. Sir Nigel is currently a Senior Adviser to Universal Music Group and Tanium Inc, Chair of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House), and a Visiting Professor at King’s College London. They hold an MA in Classics from Balliol College, Oxford, and are an Honorary Fellow and Bencher of the Middle Temple in London.
