Invictus Australia encourages veterans and their families to connect and engage with their communities through sport. Whether participating or volunteering at a grassroots level, to competing internationally, we leverage the power of sport to proactively foster good health and to aid in recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration.   
We bring together sporting, community and veteran organisations to collaborate and break down the barriers to sport participation for veterans and their families. We promote the physical, social and emotional benefits of sport for all, and shine a light on the unique needs of younger veterans, particularly the challenges associated with transitioning from military to civilian life.    
Formally known as Veteran Sport Australia (VSA), Invictus Australia was launched at the conclusion of the Invictus Games Sydney 2018.     
Invictus means unconquered.  
At Invictus Australia, we recognise the unconquerable spirit of the people who serve their country—the very people we exist to serve.   
We are a not-for-profit registered charity and rely on the generous support of government, corporate Australia and the general public.  
The Invictus Games illuminated the healing power of sport for veterans. Invictus Australia is committed to helping the Defence community remain active and connected through sport—even when the bright lights of the Games have dimmed.
