Dimitris Stefanopoulos

Dimitris Stefanopoulos is an Associate Researcher at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) since February 2023, focusing on Natural Language Processing in the SILVANUS and TREEADS projects, as well as Information Retrieval in the ALLIES project. Previous experience includes serving as an Office Associate at Encircle | Energy Specialists and working as an Intern Developer at Mavromatica Creative Technology Studio. Dimitris has a background in management from Bowling City Club, with responsibilities in event planning, digital marketing, tech consulting, and staff management. Additional experience includes mandatory military service in the Greek Army and a period as a self-employed Freelance Musician. Dimitris holds a Master’s degree in SubAtomic Physics and Technological Applications and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the same institution.

Information Technologies Institute (ITI)

Information Technologies Institute (ITI) – formerly known as Informatics and Telematics Institute – is a research institute that was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organisation under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of Greece, with its head office located in Thessaloniki, Greece. Since 2000 it is a founding member of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) also supervised by the GSRT. CERTH/ITI is one of the leading Greek institutions in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) with long experience in numerous European and National R&D projects.
