Derek Pickering

Derek Pickering is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and site reliability engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at INVIDI Technologies Corporation since March 2018, Derek focuses on ensuring the reliability, availability, and security of cloud-based infrastructure. Previously, Derek held positions as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the design and migration of SaaS solutions at INVIDI, and was part of the GE Power team, developing industrial Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming packages. With prior roles as Lead Software Engineer and Advanced Software Engineer at GE Digital and GE, respectively, Derek led high-performance teams in the development of automation software and integrated remote development groups. Derek began the software engineering career at Environment Canada, designing radar tools. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta.
