Simon Cooper

Simon Cooper has extensive experience in the oil and gas consulting industry, currently serving as Study Director & Advisor in Development Engineering at io consulting since January 2023, while also acting as Co-Founder and Executive Director at Mayfair Energy Advisory. Previously, Simon held multiple senior roles at Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants from 2002 to 2020, including Head of Study Delivery, Senior Study Manager, and Study Manager. Early career experience includes positions at bp as Greater Forties Process Technical Authority and BHP as Ravenspurn North Process Technical Authority, along with roles at ALTRA CONSULTANTS LIMITED as a Process Engineer and as an Assistant Petroleum Engineer at bp. Simon holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
