Elvin G. has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Elvin currently serves as a Security Consultant at IOActive, Inc. since June 2022. Prior to this, Elvin held the position of Senior Security Consultant at Secarma Ltd from November 2021 to June 2022 and was a Security Consultant at the same company from February 2019 to November 2021.

Before joining Secarma Ltd, Elvin worked as a CyberOps Consultant at Horangi from November 2018 to February 2019. Elvin also gained valuable experience at Trustwave, where they served as a Security Consultant for SpiderLabs from November 2017 to October 2018 and as a Security Analyst for SpiderLabs from February 2016 to October 2017.

Elvin's earliest work experience was as an Applications Engineer I at Microchip Technology from January 2015 to January 2016.

Elvin G. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electronics Engineering from the Technological University of the Philippines from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Elvin has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include the CompTIA Security+ certification obtained in February 2016, followed by the CompTIA Network+ certification in August 2016. In June 2017, they achieved the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification. Elvin further expanded their expertise by obtaining the Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP) certification in March 2018 and the Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE) certification in January 2019. Elvin also holds the CREST Registered Penetration Tester (CRT PEN) certification awarded in January 2018. Moving forward, Elvin acquired the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification in October 2020. In 2021, Elvin gained several certifications, including APTLabs and RastaLabs from Hack The Box, Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO) from Zero-Point Security Ltd, Certified Red Team Professional (CRTP) and Certified Red Team Expert (CRTE) from Pentester Academy, all obtained in May and June 2021.
