Cosmo King has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 1998 as a Network Engineer for NetTek LLC. In 2000, they were acquired by PBGH, LLP, where they continued to work as a Network Engineer. In 2003, they moved to PogoLinux inc. as a Linux Engineer. In 2004, they returned to the tech industry as a Software Development Engineer in Test for Isilon Systems. In 2010, Isilon Systems was acquired by EMC Isilon Storage Division, where they continued to work as a Software Development Engineer in Test. In 2011, they joined Likewise Software as a Principal Software Development Engineer in Test, where they helped build an incredible test team and automation infrastructure. In 2012, they were promoted to Software Quality Team Lead at EMC Isilon Storage Division. In 2013, they moved to SpaceCurve as a Senior Member of Technical Staff. In 2015, they became the Chief Innovation Officer and CEO of ioCurrents, where they revolutionized the management and maintenance of high value maritime fleets. In 2019, they joined Washington Maritime Blue as a Board Member.

Cosmo King attended Old Dominion University from 1996 to 1997, studying Computer Science. Cosmo then transferred to James Madison University and obtained a BS in Computer Science in 2001. In 2012, they obtained a Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance.
