ʻIole is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded through a collaborative partnership between the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation, the University of Hawaiʻi, and Arizona State University. The organization was established following the donation of approximately 2,400 acres encompassing the ahupuaʻa of ʻIole in North Kohala, with a shared vision of stewarding the land as a living model for regeneration, education, and resilience. 
ʻIole serves as a Global Resilience Hub dedicated to ʻāina-based learning, regenerative land stewardship, and the integration of Indigenous knowledge and modern science. Our mission is to bridge Indigenous practices and modern science to facilitate human transformation towards an abundant future for Hawaii, and create models for global impact.
