Gary Horner has had a long and varied career in the field of physics engineering. Gary began their career in 1983 at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Lab as an Accelerator Physicist/Engineer, Cyclotron Operator and ended as a Project Engineer, learning every aspect of particle acceleration. In 2008, they moved to Cellana LLC as a Facilities Engineer. In 2010, they joined the US Army Pohakuloa Training Area as a Work Leader, where they planned, assigned and supervised 10 employees in a wide area of work. In 2013, they joined Ionetix Corporation as Plant Manager. In 2017, they rejoined Ionetix Corporation as an Accelerator Physicist Engineer and Director of Service and Installations, where they created a program to efficiently install, test and make fully operational Ionetix Cyclotrons at sites anywhere in the world, as well as creating a Planned Maintenance Program for the installed Cyclotrons and associated equipment. In 2019, they were promoted to VP Manufacturing at Ionetix Corporation.
Gary Horner attended the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School from 1974 to 1975, where they studied Nuclear Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics. Gary then attended the US Navy Cryogenics School in 1978, where they graduated in the field of Cryogenics.
