IONIAN KALK SA. is the greek leader in mining and processing calcium carbonate. It is a family business founded by Mr Ioannis Kalafatis in 1979 and today has three plants in Greece, supplying greek market and exporting in more than 70 all over the wolrd. IONIAN KALK owns quarries of soft limestone (amorphous calcium carbonate) in Kefalonia and of crystalline calcium carbonate (marble) in Northern Greece. Our products are characterized by their high whiteness and high chemical purity in calcium carbonate.
