Jodi Pierre-Louis has over five years of experience in the tech industry. In 2017, they were a Group Leader/ STEM Activity Specialist at The Haitian-Americans United for Progress, Inc (HAUP), where they developed and taught STEM Based curriculums for middle school students such as game development with Scratch, conductivity, and controller creation with a Makey Makey. In 2019, they were a Consultant/ Coding Instructor at Break The Stage, LLC, where they created a curriculum for teaching game design using the Scratch programming language and a front-end web development curriculum for middle school students to create their own websites using HTML 5, Bootstrap 4, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript. In 2020, they were a Coding Instructor at BROOKLYN ASCEND CHARTER SCHOOL. In 2021, they were an Infrastructure Automation Fellow at Kura Labs, a Coding Instructor at Abco Technology, and a React Native Intern at Revolver Lifestyle S.L. Jodi currently works as a DevOps Support Engineer at Ionic and a Software Engineer Coding Instructor at Road to Hire, where they teach core tech competencies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node, AWS, SQL and other modern web programming technologies to young adults. Jodi also advises and mentors students, assesses instructional effectiveness and conducts training impact evaluations, provides feedback on and updates to the curriculum, and manages classroom logistics.

Jodi Pierre-Louis has a diverse educational background. From 2012 to 2014, they attended Kingsborough Community College and obtained a Liberal Arts degree. In 2019, they attended LaGuardia Community College and obtained a Certificate in Full Stack. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications; a Command Line in Linux certification from Coursera in March 2022 and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2021.
