Jonas Lins

Jonas Lins has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as Functional Lead Machine Learning Solutions at IONOS since October 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Data Scientist at the same company from December 2021 to October 2023, and as a Data Scientist from August 2020 to November 2021.

Before joining IONOS, Jonas worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institut für Neuroinformatik, Ruhr-Universität Bochum from August 2018 to August 2020. In this role, they utilized continuous artificial neural networks and psychophysical experiments to research cognition. Jonas also provided guidance to doctoral candidates on statistical, technical, and scientific matters.

From July 2011 to May 2017, Jonas served as a Research Associate at the same institute. Here, they focused on research related to visual perception and relational cognition. Jonas worked on creating cognitive architectures using continuous neural networks (dynamic fields) and developed a MATLAB library for recording and analyzing natural motion trajectories.

Jonas Lins completed their education at Ruhr University Bochum. Jonas obtained a diploma (Dipl.-Psych.) in Psychology from 2004 to 2011. Jonas then pursued a doctoral thesis (Dr. rer. nat.) in Psychology from 2011 to 2018. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in areas such as communication, SQL, data science, and machine learning from institutions like troodi GmbH, Data Camp, and Coursera.
