Stefan Plug

Stefan Plug is an experienced network engineering professional currently serving as the Head of Shared Network Infrastructure at IONOS since June 2023, and as a Network Engineer at STRATO AG since September 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Network Engineer and Operations Engineer at Megaport from September 2017 to September 2021, and as an Engineer at Peering GmbH / ECIX between November 2014 and November 2019, where responsibilities included configuring infrastructure for ECIX and maintaining Route Servers using Ansible. Stefan also held engineering positions at AMS-IX from September 2012 to October 2014, focusing on physical infrastructure and script development, and began a career as an Intern NOC at AMS-IX in early 2012. The internship experience extends to Cisco Systems, where research into SAML/SASL was conducted. Stefan holds a Master of Science in System and Network Engineering from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
