Derek Rush

Derek Rush is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in the energy and automotive sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at IONNA, an innovative EV charging network, Derek previously held CFO roles at bp pulse and its fleet division, where responsibilities included leading financial strategies and initiatives. Derek has a robust background with BP, contributing significantly as CFO of US Pipelines and Chief Development Officer of BP Midstream Partners, achieving notable financial milestones, including a $700 million minority interest sale. Other key achievements include implementing global control priorities that significantly reduced control gaps and credit losses, as well as leading a refinery to record-setting profits. Derek also has consulting experience from PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Andersen. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s in Accounting from Illinois State University.
