Philipp Retsch

Philipp Retsch currently serves as the Chief Engineer for Charging Technology at IONNA since March 2024, leading a team focused on advancing the company's charging ecosystem with a strong emphasis on reliability and innovative system architecture. Prior to this role, Philipp held various positions at Electrify America from August 2017 to February 2024, ultimately becoming Senior Manager of Charging System Development, where responsibilities included overseeing product development and the successful introduction of multiple generations of DC fast charging hardware. Philipp's earlier career includes significant contributions at BMW of North America, where a senior engineering role involved developing energy storage systems and managing charging tests for new products, and project engineering at FEV North America, focusing on electric vehicle prototypes. With a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Business from HTWK Leipzig, Philipp has a solid foundation in both engineering principles and business acumen.
