Evan Reed

Evan Reed, PhD, is an atomic physicist and quantum engineer currently working as a Senior Physicist at IonQ, where they focus on the development of advanced quantum computers. They previously served as a Doctoral Researcher at Duke University, conducting research in atomic, molecular, and optical physics, as well as ion trapping and quantum computing. Prior to their doctoral studies, Evan held positions as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology and as an intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics with high honors from Georgia Institute of Technology and initially pursued a Bachelor of Science in Physics at the University of West Georgia.
