Jay Vetick

Jay Vetick is an optical engineer at IonQ since May 2023, focusing on test development. Previously, Jay served as a Hardware Engineer at Argo AI from September 2021 to February 2023, responsible for developing and scaling optical components for Argo lidar. Prior to that, Jay worked as a Research Engineer at SRI International from September 2018 to September 2021, where responsibilities included designing and testing optoelectronics technologies for various quantum sensors and photonic devices. Jay also held the position of Senior Applications Engineer at Thorlabs from June 2015 to September 2018, specializing in optoelectronic modules and programming for instrumentation. Additionally, a self-funded home project concentrated on Atomic Force Microscope development took place between January 2017 and September 2018. Jay's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Rutgers University, completed between 2012 and 2014.
