Joseph Dickman has extensive experience in the field of opto-mechanical engineering. Joseph is currently employed as a Senior Optomechanical Engineer at IonQ since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory from August 2017 to January 2022 as a Senior Professional Staff. In this role, they led the mechanical design of opto-mechanical instruments for spacecraft. Before joining Johns Hopkins, Joseph worked at GE Aviation from June 2010 to August 2017, where they held various positions including Lead Engineer for HTEP & Electrification, Lead Engineer for Mechanical and Drive Systems, and Mechanical Design Engineer.
Joseph Dickman attended Case Western Reserve University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and a Master of Science (MS) degree, both in Mechanical Engineering.
